Theme Based Classrooms

Students need to be in classrooms that inspire them-spaces that are light, airy, and filled with examples of work that they aspire to do . MSJS has theme-based air conditioned class rooms. The fairy tale and cartoon characters inspire them to adopt the virtues of these characters. Such theme based class rooms inspire the young children to come to school, to a cozy and a creative atmosphere where their creativity takes wings.

There are different ways of imbibing positive traits in children. With this intention in mind, we have named our classrooms from classes Pre-Nursery to Pre - Primary based on various cartoon characters and gemstones like Belle, Amber, Sapphire and Grade I and II based on different flowers and birds.

We want our children to be modest and humble. Positive traits like kindness, gratitude, grace and optimism are essential to create empathetic, reciprocal friendships. We teach our students to uplift others, even when it is not purely for our own interest, increase our own well-being, satisfaction and stability.

Mobile Library

In this vast changing techno smart world books have taken their own place and meaning. Our aim is to inculcate the habit of reading in our young children as introduction with books at an early age may lead to new writers and poets in this world. To cater to all the faculties, we have books based on fiction, non-fiction, pictures, phonetics, craft, poetry, art, Panchatantra, cognitive skills etc. With the aim of inculcating a lifelong passion for books and knowledge, we encourage all our students to make the most of their library sessions.

Technology Lab

We believe in giving ALL kids the skills of tomorrow. A fully-integrated learning environment where everything from the furniture and technology to curriculum and assessment work together to support hands-on, minds-on learning. With the aim to achieve the said objective the computer lab at My Steps Junior School is equipped with advance infrastructure in terms of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of students, teachers and the curriculum.

The computer lab is integrated with the Smart Class System.

ID /Activity Room (Intelligence development lab.)

Toys of different shapes and sizes, with contrasting colours, are fascinating for children of any age group. They are a visual treat to the eyes and help children to develop object permanence and cause and effect relationships. Toys help kids to explore the world around them and develop eye-hand co-ordination.

Pre-School is a creative and dramatic age where children explore their surroundings to learn concepts new for them. Playing with toys and friends are two of the most important learning sources at this stage of development. Toys help them to develop cognitive and physical skills, whereas friends help to master language and social skills.

My Steps Junior School has an Intellectual Development (ID- room) where the Pre-Schoolers are taken, for playing and to enhance various skills to get ready for elementary school.

The ID Room is well equipped with a variety of toys for the students of Pre-Nursery to Pre-Primary. These toys cater to the overall development of the children.

They help in developing the gross and fine motor skills, such as handling small objects- using their hands and fingers which build strength and co-ordination which is critical for writing.

This further helps to develop language and social skills of the kids as they play games like- Dress me up, building blocks, character toys etc.

Children continue to advance their skills by observing and interacting with the world around them. There are activities like matching, sorting, counting, exploring numbers, sorting, measuring, reading, cooking, etc. They are also exposed to play dough

They also indulge in literary activities like story telling with different props and puppets.

Play Stations & Play Area

At My Steps Junior School children participate in various activities like skating, aerobics, yoga, taekwondo, music and dance. In general, physical play is encouraged by taking children to the swings, slides, running, jogging and with a variety of fun filled activities.
